3rd week of Mar is the Mosaic Music Festival in Sg. This is a fantastic and exciting season for music. A lot of good musicians and singers came from all over the world. Last nite we headed for the NYC Urban beats. It is a program for a Chill group called Si*Se’. Combined of soul and hi-hop and latin style, with the renovation of the theater studio in to a music bar concept, the audience drink, chat and dance with the music and songs. It was a great night. Groove to the New York sounds of Si*Sé. B lending hip-hop beats, down-tempo electronica, soul and Latin rhythms, Si*Sé was formed by stunning Spanish-English singer/DJ Carol C. and programmer/producer/DJ Cliff Cristofaro, aka U.F.LOW, a b-boy minimalist armed with a single MPC drum machine. Joining them are viola player Jeannie Oliver, percussionist Neil Ochoa, bassist Morgan Phillips, and drummer Ryan Farley to add an eclectic live punch to songs that range from deep drum 'n' bass to futuristic Latin ritmos and beyond. 私は本を読むことが大好きです。最近はほとん投資に関するものを読んでいる．つまらないように見えるが、中身にはかなり面白いものが盛り沢山。先日Amazon Japanで'’今がわかる時代がわかる世界地図'’ という本を買っちゃった。一見試験勉強に使う地図なんだろうと思う人がいるかもしれないが、とても役立つ参考書です。地図で世界各国の経済指数や人口、ＧＤＰ、燃料使用量、年金制度、結婚率・離婚率などなど普段で見つかりにくい数値を地図上で判りやすい図表と詳細な解説によって説明してくれる。まさか世界の動きが一目でわかるくらい実用の読み物。もうひとつ買ったのは’’ニュースがすぐにわかる世界地図''。 普段新聞をパッと読んでも実際にどこに何が起こるかなかなか印象付けにくいと感じるだろう。世界中の出来こと例え政治・経済・紛争などは世界経済及び我々の日常生活に影響を与えている。近年ＢＲＩＣ四国特に中国の出頭や中東の紛争、なおそれに対する欧米の対応策などこの本を読めば勉強になる。私はこの二冊の本を読んで投資信託の目当てにする国々の実情を理解してから金を入れる。ほんとうに助かった。
こういう本は毎年更新するベースで出版されている。だから、毎年最新の国際情報が得られる。世界の動きに興味を持つ方にお薦め。国際化に進む一方単に自分の国にできたことを関心を持つのはどうしても足りないだろう。ほかにも日本を対象として編集される地図の本がある。詳細な産業情報が記載されている。日本経済が回復していく今、どうやって日本を投資するかと重要な参考資料になるだろうね。日本にこんな素晴らしい出版物ができてうれしい。

Today is 228 an important memorial day of Taiwan. Also this is the last day of our quarter. I ended the quarter closing one day earlier due to the 228 public holiday in Taiwan. As no one in business today in Taiwan, I left office at lunch time. Too many holidays that makes it so hectic in the last month of this quarter. What an exhausting month!! Last Saturday night I even played mahjong for the first time of my life!! It is really time to take a break and get ready to restart.
Seize the chance of half day leave from office; I started to study the UT in Singapore. I was trying to do some study though never get myself a good timing to do so. Today I did a lot of homework. Starting from DollarDex and Fundsupermart, I found that there are more than these 2 online fund distributors actually there are several global ones available in Singapore. I even found a local fund discussion forum. People share good information and various experience here. It is very helpful. Unlike in Taiwan that we are used to buy funds via internet banking, people have different ways of investing here. These fund distributors offer attractive sales charge rate and online transaction platform, credit card & CPF payment methods and detailed market and fund performance report, which the banks such as DBS and OCBC, HSBC can hardly compete with. I also found that the fund investment and discussion seem to be very limited to those people working in securities firms; it does not seem to be a popular investment channel for the public here yet. But after checking the sales rate, it is no doubt that I should take the platform thing more seriously. For the online transaction, it only costs 1% to 2.5% for sales charge. On the other way, the banks and insurance companies may charge their customer 3.5% to 5%. Besides, the online fund transaction is not even available in local banks. Considering the initial cost of investment, the difference of 2.5% of the total investment can be a great amount of money. In addition, a rather real-time performance report and varieties of funds to choose and switch are important keys to make an investment successful.
This is a small gain today. Still there are so much to explore. I would find the weekend and keep up with the rest of study.

Tonite I opened the wine I have been watering for so long.. The spicy Greek desset wine. Ever since I found the first bottle of greek sweet wine, I started to try different flavors. It is astonishingly tasty. This is my 5th bottle. And now whenever there is a bargain for the wine, I will bring a bottle of them back. and just restore.
2 kinds of greek dessert wine I really recommand. Tsantali- Mavrodaphne of Patras (5 year old oak agaed) and Domain Toplus - Monastery Natural Sweet Wine Variety '' Liatiko''. Both are spicy, flavorful and mild. Tsantali smells like chocolate and fruit when pulling up the cork. And Domain Toplus tasts of spices and mystery. I found them occasionally at the wine fair of Carrefour. Greek wine is rare and was not outstanding in the fair. I guess not so many people notice Greek wine in the wine galary. But it doesn't matter as long as I can find them.
Domain Toplus is no doubt my best choice of dessert wine for now. It costs me nearly SDG 50 though I have no regret buying it.
I found a nice Australia ice wine which I first tasted it at WineBos. On promotion, 2 bottles cost 60 dollars. Fair price isn't it. In a place like singapore - a country that charges high tax on liquid and wine. Haven't gone back to Winbos again since then. The location is a bit away from the crowds. Yet it is a nice wine bar to go. The owner imports all sorts of wine.And at the counter, he offers free trial of up to 10 kinds of wine everyday. It is no doubt that I will drop by again some day .

先週の木曜日から風邪気味だった。金曜の朝、目が覚めると風邪ひどくなった。二月っていう仕事で一番厳しい時期に風邪を引くなんか気味悪い。結局オフィスの冷房に耐えていられなくてMCを取っちゃいした。家に帰ってそのまま丸二日間寝込み。せっかくアレンジした金曜夜のpubbingを仕方なく見送り。
一人で家に風邪を引いて、薬を飲んで、寝起きをしていながらなんだか寂しく感じだ。ここにきていよいよ二年目を迎える。生活は規則的で変化が足りなさそう。どんどんこんな豊かで悩みなさそうな生活に慣れる一方、なにか新しい物事をチャレンジしてみたい気がする。こんなのまだ若い私には合わない生き方じゃないかと。新しいことを体験し新しい人々に出会い、生き生きとした動力と活力を取り戻したいと考え始まる。風邪でベットで寝かしながら仕事をやめてロンドンへ行ってしばら滞在しようか、それでまた違う人生が展開するかもまで思った。ふっと日本にいたときユカちゃんは私にこう言った’’君は漂泊の人間だわ’’って。まさかその通りだろうね。
ところで元気を取り戻すために今日は二日ぶりに外を出かけるようになった。鶏肉を買って、今晩はマッシュルームチキンスープを作る。さっぱりして美味しいスールは母から習いた。簡単でしかも栄養一杯。ついでに作り方を公開しようと思う。
三食分の素材
１）鳥もも 六本
２）乾燥マッシュルーム ６個くらい （自分の好み次第）
３）缶詰の塩漬けキュウリ （台湾製、シンガポールのスーパーにも売れている）
４）塩、醤油 少々味付けだけ
乾燥したマッシュルームのほうは香ばしいから絶対お薦め。マッシュルームをお湯に浸す。しばらく置くと柔らかくなる。マッシュルームの汁を捨てないであとにスールのだしにする。 お鍋にお湯を沸かしまずマッシュルームとだしを入れる。次第に塩付けキュウリとその汁を全部スープに入れる。お湯が再び沸かすところ、洗浄した鳥モモを入れよう。１５分煮込み。お箸で鳥モモを簡単で刺されることができたらオッケー。味付けて塩と醤油を少し撒いてもいい。それで出来上がり！！！
これは私の秘方である風邪回復レシピー。さてスープを食べて元気を出そうと。

夕べ１１時過ぎＣＨＡＮＧＩ空港に到着。１２日間もある旧正月休みが終わりに告げ。今度の帰省はわざと余裕を作っておいた。それにしてもいろんなところへ遊びに行ってきた。
2/4平渓天灯大会の初日。生まれ始めて天灯を放す。すばらしい体験だった．運がよくて当日大会活動である団体点灯の最終チームに参加できた。提灯の上に皆新年希望と願いを沢山書いている。百以上にある点灯天灯は一気に空に浮き上がる瞬間とても感動的で綺麗だった。どうかこの天灯と共に自分の夢を天に伝うことができたような気がする。

Went back to middle Taiwan and found that spring is right in front of me. I saw a field of beautiful coreopsis planted by the temple management in the fallow rice paddy. It was a pity that I didnt bring the camera with me. In the countryside you always find the green and butterflies. I left in the same day and rushed back to Taipei. Later I heard from mom that at night they had fireworks and sky laterns in Uncle Wangs' front yard.
Today had an appointment with Suzulam in Shihlin. When we headed for the the hot spring resort, we found the pinky cherry blossom everywhere on the hills and kind of orange color flower clusters in the vine on the fences of the houses. I started to regret in deed leaving my camera in singapore.
It is nice to come back on holidays. Leave the work behind me and enjoy plenty of nature. I will try to make up this one for some nice fotos.

ゴルフのクラスは今週の水曜日、最終回。徐々にコツが分かってくる感じ。いまでも７号のスウィンをやっている。本格的にコースに上がるのはまだまだ。しかもクラブ持っていないから、自ら練習できない。こういうスポーツは練習しないと下手になるなあ。
あと二・三週間私は今年の行きえを決められそう。どきどきしている。よい未来に目指す一方、前へ踏み出すのは勇気と決意、それに運だよね。気がよく待つのは難しい技。心配するよりほかのなにかに忙しくして考えないようにするほうがいいかも。とりあえず新年帰国する準備をしようか。今回は陽明山の魚路古道を征服する。

Made a telegraphic fund transfer to taiwan last thursday. DBS told me that the process will take 2-4 working days. And I can assume that she meant a week. Somehow it takes so long.. It is telegraphic isnt it?
I have finished 2/3 of Jim rogers' Adventure capitalist. It is stunning to know about the real status of Indian and Eastern europe, which are highly expected for economic growth. and potential. I wonder if I will keep investing India if I actually visit that country. It looks good so far. But it can be highly unstable and variable. Compared to so many countries, north east asia is performing well then. I think I will put more attention on China and HK, Taiwan now.
When reading the news, I realize that Turkey is now in the midst of bird flu threat. My travel plan in Turkey may be deterred from the disease. My friend is suggesting we go to Czech instead if the situation gets worse or not improved. I would feel very sorry about that if I can not travel in Turkey. I hope to see a real mulism world and vsiti Istanbul the city of ancient history , which is modernizng on the other hand. Well we still have time to wait for what happens. Luckily the disease will be controlled and we make it a go as planned.

My japanese friend told me there is an online transaction website applicable to resident in sg. which offers mutual fund and other commodities at much lower charges than the local banks. When I was browsing discussion forums, I incidentally found that one mentioned and the other one, both provide sufficient fund and securities information and market watch datum. Actually DollarDex is avaiable for custoemrs in taiwan and HK as well. I am very excited about the finding as I have been so frusatrated by the high sales and management charges here and now I got a new target.
Those 2 websites are Suparmart.com and DollarDex. The most exciting thing is that they are licensed CPF IA. This may save my time and costs on trasnferring money internationally for investment in the future.
